52 Reasons I Love You

This is something that I recently made for my husband for our 1st wedding anniversary (traditional first anniversary gift is paper, modern is clocks.. I thought of getting him a watch but he's good at losing those and this was more personal). It also would be a fantastic gift idea for your special someone for Valentine's Day, which is why I'm sharing it.

Now, I don't know about you but sometimes when I tell my husband I love him, I feel like the words "I love you" aren't enough. They don't really convey the DEPTH of the love that I feel for him. I could say it all day long and still feel like I haven't really gotten my point across.. Maybe it's a girl thing. Anyway, I feel like this showed him what I really meant.

What you'll need:
  • A deck of cards (construction paper or regular paper)
  • Paper, if you chose to use cards
  • Hole punch
  • Glue
  • Ribbon or binder rings

I covered the first card with glittery black cardstock to make it look more like a book.

First, punch two hole in each card in the same general area (a few of mine were off a little, so a couple cards stick out more than the others. This is okay, it gives it character. ;) )

Now for your reasons you can use a marker to write on each card, or you can do what I did and type out your reasons and print them. You could even write them on pieces of paper and glue them on, either way works. That's what is great about this, you can do it many different ways and make it your own.

Go through and write all of your reasons. I'm not going to share all of mine, that would get boring real fast, haha.

He disagreed with this one ;)

I used ribbon to tie my cards together because that's all I had at the time, but I plan on getting binder rings to replace the ribbon soon. It'll last longer that way. You can use whatever you have, heck if you don't have ribbon or string, just use an old shoelace. At the very least it'll be good for a laugh. :)

You get the idea. I hope you like this and get a chance to make one. I promise who ever you give it to will absolutely love it. I know my husband sure did. ;)

If you decide to do one, feel free to share your results. I'd love to hear the different ways you made it yours. :)
